I could barely sleep last night I was so excited about this! We
scheduled the earliest appointment they had at 9:30. They tell you to
drink 32oz of water 1 hour prior to the ultrasound and not to empty your
bladder till after the ultrasound...ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! Do you know
how torturous that is for a pregnant woman? I needed to go like 30 min
after. But then since I was still a little too early (8 weeks 5 days)
for a regular ultrasound they had to do one for the inside. The
ultrasound tech was hilarious! She had this really cool accent that we
couldn't quite place (Sean guessed maybe New Zealand?) but she was
making me laugh the whole time! When she finally showed us our baby...oh
man was that cool! Of course I started crying! It is such an unreal
experience seeing a little human growing inside of you and to be able to
hear it's heartbeat! It was a strong heartbeat too, 158 beats per
minute! Then she was trying to measure the baby and she said you need to
measure from it's butt to it's head...so she pointed to it's butt and
then started singing.."I like big butts and I cannot lie!" hahaha!! She
said I was measuring at exactly 8 weeks, but since it is still hard to
measure the baby cause it's all curled up, they are keeping my original
duedate at May 1, 2013 :)

| Here is our precious baby!! |
The doctor said everything with me looks healthy too, even though I've lost 4-5 pounds. She said that was perfectly fine and not to stress about it. Eat when I'm hungry, rest when I need to, and just make sure to take my vitamins and drink lots! We asked her when it would be okay to tell all of our friends and she said everything looks perfect and we are past the point of miscarrying if it was going to happen, so we can tell as many people as we want! Which is good cause after hearing that little heartbeat, we just wanted to tell everyone! Sean said he didn't think he could keep it a secret any longer either :)
Luckily I already had it planned out how we were going to announce it,
so we called up his sister and asked if she would be our photographer
for a few minutes, and this is what we ended up with!...
Oh also...I found out that here in AZ, they tell you the sex of the baby between 16-18 weeks instead of 20 like a lot of other places...WOOHOO!! We may only have to wait 7 more weeks!!
